About Us
KaRoy-Curl was first introduced to the American Curl in 2006. We were immediately captivated by their lively, affectionate, and curious personalities. After more than a year of learning about and observing the breed, our admiration for the American Curl (hereafter referred to as “Curl”) only grew stronger.
In 2008, we welcomed our first show-quality Curl with breeding rights and officially began our cattery journey. In 2010, our first litter was born from Kimu and Teacup — four healthy and beautiful kittens that marked an important milestone in the early history of KaRoy-Curl.
Between 2015 and 2022, our program was temporarily paused due to various internal and external circumstances. In 2023, we proudly resumed our work with renewed passion and a clearer vision for the future of the breed.
In 2019, we also began studying and researching the Ragdoll breed. Our first two Ragdolls, Con Con and Gabriel, were introduced from Taiwan as the foundation of our Ragdoll program. In 2023, we further expanded by importing another pair from the renowned European Ragdoll cattery Eulalie — TIGER and Princess — marking the beginning of our dedicated Ragdoll development.
Health and welfare have always been at the core of our cattery philosophy. Our current cats undergo comprehensive DNA health testing to help ensure sound genetics and long-term well-being. These health screenings include Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM2), Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), and Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), all of which have tested negative.
Through responsible breeding practices and careful health screening, we strive to preserve the elegance, temperament, and unique charm of the American Curl while providing confidence and peace of mind to the families who welcome our cats.
Our goal for our Ragdoll cats is to preserve a sweet expression, gentle and stable temperament, and an affectionate, lovable character as our most important priorities.
